Taxi booking guide for getting your taxi cab in Singapore. There are many options to book a taxi cab in Singapore.

You can get a taxi in Singapore by

Also, note that with each method:

  1. Booking fees apply and subjected to taxi availability. Extra booking charges indicated here with each method of booking will add on to flag-down rate, distance fare and other charges such as peak hour charges, midnight charges, city area surcharge, ERP charges and others. General Steps for making a Taxi Cab Booking

  1. Decide the method of booking a taxi
  2. Be aware of the extra fees involved
  3. Communicate to the call operator the pick-up location and pick-up time
  4. Wait for taxi to be assigned, note the taxi registration number given and estimated time of taxi arrival
  5. When the taxi has arrived, confirm booking with driver and communicate to driver your drop-off location

4. Online Taxi Booking Portal by ComfortDelgro

This is ComfortDelgro’s Cabcharge Customer Portal for repeated cab users to book a taxi through the website. Users can register at no cost to create a personal account in this web taxi booking portal. Features of the personal web portal includes Checking Booking Status (pending, cancelled, confirmed with Estimate Time of Arrival), Get Estimated Fare, Taxi Fare Chart.

5. FastCall service: Tap and Book, Dial 6454 2222 or SMS to 71222

FastCall panels and counter can be found in over 400 major commercial buildings, hotels and tourist attractions. Users can book a cab by either:

  1. Use NFC-enabled mobile phone to Tap and book; or
  2. Book through calling 6454 2222 and key in the designated location PIN; or
  3. Text “FC ” to 71222.

6. Hail taxi by the side of the road

Booking fee: None

Do note that taxis are not allowed to stop to pick passengers up along bus lanes, bus stops, lanes with double yellow lines, lanes with double zigzag lines and roads in CBD where buses ply.


7. Queuing at designated taxi stands, taxi stops or taxi pickup / dropoff (PU/DO) location

Booking fee: None

Taxi stands are littered all across Singapore streets especially at Central Business District (CBD) Area. These facilities are easily recognized with its taxi stand code (e.g. A13) and taxi-sign. Taxi pick-up or drop-off locations are usually at the lobby entrance/ exit of shopping malls, hotels, places of interests and public amenities e.g. Hospitals.

You may search for the nearest taxi stand by entering your location, select the Central Business District (CBD) Zone that you are in or select from a map with MyTransport.


Despite all the various channels to book a taxi, demand for taxi cabs in Singapore is especially high during rainy days, peak hours (6.00am to 9.30am and 6.00pm to midnight) and festive seasons.

To secure a taxi, it is generally advised to make advance booking (booking made at least half an hour ahead) or book a limousine service.
