Singapore to Hello Kitty Land

Singapore to Hello Kitty World Johor Malaysia

A visit to Singapore nowadays involves a side trip to Malaysia. And two of the most popular destinations in Malaysia that is most accessible from Singapore are Hello Kitty Town and Legoland Malaysia.

There are several ways to get to Hello Kitty Town in Malaysia from Singapore. But for those who hate waiting and sharing a ride with several other people, they should skip the shuttle bus at the Singapore Flyer and take the most convenient form of transportation instead – taxi.

A regular Singapore taxi cannot take you directly to Malaysia. Hence, before you can get a cross-border taxi, you must get a regular taxi from your hotel to take you to Ban San Street Taxi Stand, just beside the Queen Street Bus Terminal.

The cross-border taxi, which costs about SGD 80, takes about an hour and 30 minutes on normal traffic, including passport stamping when exiting Singapore and at the Malaysian immigration. Expect travel to take a little longer though if traffic is heavy along the causeway link.

You may find only a few taxi waiting outside the Hello Kitty Town so if you do not want to take chances, you can ask the cross-border taxi driver who took you to Hello Kitty Town to pick you up at a certain time. A small tip might just convince him.

The trip from Hello Kitty Town in Malaysia back to Singapore takes about the same time. After about an hour and 30 minutes, you will find yourself dropped off at the Ban San taxi stand. To get to your hotel or another destination in Singapore, you’d have to ride a local taxi.

The Hello Kitty Town is a favorite tourist spot, by kids and adults alike. It is also a great go-to place for families or a side trip for groups vacationing in Singapore as it allows guests a quick peek of what Malaysia is like and have them back in Singapore on the same day.
