Grab SHC6011T – ★ A very very rude driver

My wife and I just took this cab, with the driver name: Siah Chee Leng. It was a very bad and terrifying experience for us. The trip cost us $9 and we have only one $50 note in our wallet. So upon reaching our destination, we proceeded to pay using the $50 note.

To our surprise, the driver told us that he doesn’t has any small change and we should select the option of “no small change” (which we never heard before) when we booked the cab. And he said that we should read the terms and conditions carefully before booking a cab.

Knowing that we dont have any small change, he started to raise his voice, making comments that we are wasting his time. But at this moment, my wife who is PREGNANT was asking around, hoping that someone will have small change. And at this moment, unable to take his ranting, I told the driver to relax and wait while we look for small change. Because it was really very irritating, listening to his loud voice, repeating the same old thing.

The driver started to get agitated, and alighted out his vehicle and wanted to challenge me for a fight to settle this. If not, he asked me to state the place and time to settle this, and he told me he has a gang which he will asked them over to help him. I was really very very very shocked by this. As I was using a non-cam handphone, if not I will definitely take a video down and use it as an evidence.

The driver even told me that he will remember the place where he picked my wife and I up, and will ask his gang to look for us to settle this matter. Seriously, is this the attitude of our taxi drivers? Will the driver really look for us for trouble? I really don’t know and with my wife pregnant now, I am very worried.

I am going to lodge a police report with regards to this as I am very worried. Taxi drivers are often the very first line of people that foreigners get to meet when they come to Singapore.

So is this the image that we are trying to portray? I seriously think that Silver Cab should think about it and have a tighter system to shortlist your drivers.

SMRT Taxis SHC4127G – ★ WORST EXPERIENCE

I would like to make a complaint against a taxi driver car plate SHC4127G.

Firstly, he refused to drop me off as I requested, I wanted to go to Wecga Plaza at 1 Bukit Batok Crescent, my office is located at level 4, when I told him I need to go to level 4 and the building have 10 mins of grace period for free parking but he said very rudely that this is a taxi not a private hire car, cannot go up, only can drop off at lobby, this is the first time I heard this, if I on call, or even take other taxi or grab, uber car all can come up to fetch me or drop me off.

Secondly, I boarded his taxi from 9pm at Changi Airport Terminal 4, he was driving at an extreme dangerous speed of 120kmph-135kmph, reckless driving cutting from lane 1 to lane 4 than right back to lane 2 just like F1 driver. I do have a short video but I do not know how to attach to this message.

Hopefully you can look into this matters and update me. Thank you very much. I have emailed to LTA regarding this matter too.

 

Trans Cab SHC5198U – ★ Trans cab driver needs urgent saftey re-training

My family was crossing at traffic junction when taxi drove close to us and even crossed the white line for pedestrians. This happened at 7:15pm at Tampines St 5 & 6 junction, today’s date 22 June 2018. Please do something before this impatient driver causes an accident or kill someone.

My daughter left her phone in the above taxi. I called the phone and the driver picked it up. He made a special trip to return the phone to me at my home. I am very grateful for his honesty and or his willingness to drive all the way back to my house to return the phone.

We are immigration officers who ended work late at 3am and we took the cab on 16 June 3am from Woodlands checkpoint to Yishun to drop a colleague and to Punggol. I would like to thank the driver for being very vigilant and careful during this wee hour and going on the best route.

Most importantly, when coming to the last stop at Punggol, he knew my area was very quiet and “ulu”, he suggested to come until the lift for my safety. Thank you driver for sending us home safely and being very thoughtful. Kindly convey our thanks and we had a pleasant journey with you thank you. We didn’t book a grab so we can’t rate a 5 star, so I take this time to personally write this review.

 

SMRT Taxis SHA2392E – ★★ Driver was rude

I was waiting for a taxi around 410am at Changi Airport Terminal 2. Before getting on the taxi, I saw the driver had an argument with other taxi drivers parking next to him and he seemed to be in a bad mood. I was told to hop on the taxi, I was confused and unaware of what happened.

After reaching my destination, I heard the driver responded, “as long as you pay, I don’t care!”. I was really taken aback by his words. The driver takes his time as if he doesn’t really want to help and seems unwilling to help me with my lugagge.

Definitely not the best but one of the worst taxi experience I had ever encountered. It was too dark in the taxi so I didn’t get his name. But I remembered the vehicle number was SHA2392E.

 

Premier Taxi SHD1352L – ★ Unauthorised driver?

The driver’s name was not displayed. I asked if he was a substitute driver and he admitted it. I wonder if he was even authorised to drive? I would not have bothered to report this if his attitude and manner wasn’t so poor. This sort of driver is certainly not doing your company’s image and reputation any credit.

Very helpful. The driver was willing to lend a hand for me. He helped me by carrying the items in and out the car without asking. It’s very rare to see such helpful taxi drivers nowadays.
