Comfort Taxi SHB6294Z – ★ Taxi driver went driving around when I was dozing off

I took the cab from outside the floating platform on the early morning hours of 02/09/18 and headed toward Clementi first to drop off my friend. Afterwards, I told the driver to head to YCK, Mimosa Road and he said okay.

On the trip, I dozed off halfway but at that time we were already on CTE and by the time I woke up, he was somewhere along Mandai and claimed that I told him I stayed at Yishun. I did not want to argue with him as I was in the middle of no where. I asked him to go to my original destination which he proceeded to and my fare was $46.35. A ridiculous price for the destination travelled even with midnight charge.

I would like to have a recalculate evaluation of my fare to see if it was fair and action to be taken against this paticular unsavoury and dishonest driver.

Comfort Taxi SH99882 – ★ A detour and the double fee of usual

We told the driver to take us by Newton Circus, nevertheless, he took a detour!!!! And the fee was more expensive than usual(about double!!!).

He said that the fee was so expensive because of the jam however, the proper way(using Newton Circus) mustn’t have had such a jam.

Before we started, we also told him that the destination was nearby United Square(other drivers understand where we want to go if we explain like this). However, after he took the detour, he confirmed like this, “near the Novena church?”

He must have known the proper way or if he didn’t, he must have been thoughtfully. The driver was to be blamed of our expensive fee. Refund please!!!(it’s okay via Grab coupons)

It was a very terrible experience. He used another way as usual. So, my daughter asked him which way he wants to use. He shouted at her in the car saying she must trust the driver. After that, when she arrived at Condos Robby, she was scared and paid at the front seat full amount. She wanted to go out. Then he came out and shouted at her, saying that she has to respect the driver.

Our condo guard came out and stopped the driver. My daughter felt so scared and ran to house. I’ll report this incident to the police.

 

SMRT Taxis SHB5372 – ★ Bad attitute

He told me he was a part time driver and it’s okay to me. He also told me that only cash allowed for payment, I was okay as well, guiding him to my destination but responded in an unwilling way. Should I not guide him? Ask for guidance but unwilling to travel far, what if I want to go from West to East area? Last thing, there was no receipt!

Please provide me a receipt through email as I need to make a claim. Please improve the service, if the receipt machine is down, either inform passenger there is no receipt before passenger proceed to board or just shut down the cab. He did inform only cash allowed which I can accept but never inform that there will be no receipt.

Mr. Ng Yew Wah Calvin, who provided me with a wonderful experience. He was polite, kind and gentle to help me to carry my baggage and took me to 2 destinations to let me do my errands. He drove safely. Arigatouozaimasu! Indeed!!!

 

CityCab SHC3948K – ★★★★ A very kind and honest person

I boarded city cab at about 6.50am to take me to West Coast Drive. When I realised that I had dropped my wallet on the passenger seat that late morning, I panicked. My colleague called my mobile phone to check if it could have been misplaced somewhere about our workplace but to no avail. I informed City Cab Lost & Found. The cab driver, Mr Heng Joo Hong, contacted me promptly and he even drove all the way from Toa Payoh to West Coast to return my wallet.

I am very grateful to Mr Heng for his kindness and also to the call operator who expedited my call for assistance to retrieve my mobile phone. Such honesty and kindness is highly commendable. Best regards, Irene Chua.

 

CityCab SHA8820Y – ★ In total disgust that this kind of driver still exists in Singapore!

I took the taxi queue from Changi Airport T2 arrival and had this driver of SHA8820Y to drive me to 145 Pasir Ris Griove Condo. During the trip, the driver was talking over this phone with another person about picking up a passenger (me in this case) and it was such a “fucking tough luck” for him.

Upon alighting the taxi, the driver then wind down his window and spit out loud from his driver window as he drove away. In fact, the driver continued to spit out loud to demonstrate his displeasure.

It was totally disgusting to see such driver on the road and it was also very unhygienic to spit saliva out from his taxi. This driver behaves like a gangster and please kindly look into this and hope he can be put away off the road in order not to disgrace Singapore taxi driver!! Not impressed.
