Yellow-Top Taxi SH4578G – ★ Rude obnoxious bald driver

We were waiting for our grab driver who was in front of your yellow top driver. Your driver pressed the horn for so long and when both cars arrived at the pick up point your driver got out of his car and screamed at the top of his lungs that this is a pick up point for taxis only. Regardless of the perceived injustice by him, couldn’t he have settled it amicably? In contrast the grab driver was a gentleman. Your organisation needs to impart some courtesy classes to this uncouth driver.

 

Comfort Taxi SHC3512J – ★ Reckless driving

I was not using the taxi myself, but encountered the taxi driver (SHC3512J, white Mercedes E220) on the road on Sunday, 16 September 2018, around 4.35pm. Firstly, the driver stopped in the middle of a yellow box, blocking my way onto Upper East Coast Road from the Summit condominium.. From there we were both driving onto ECP, where the taxi driver made a sudden line change, which forced me to brake abrupt. I honked the taxi driver for this reckless driving.

A little later on ECP, driving towards Benjamin Sheares Bridge, the same taxi driver made an illegal overtaking manoeuvre on my left side. It seems that I wasn’t driving fast enough, even though my speed was 95km/h at the time when he overtook me. I honked and signalled the driver several times for his reckless driving, but he refused to acknowledge and continued to just stare straight ahead. The overtaking manoeuvre and the speed at the time I was overtaken have been captured by camera. Drivers like this should be taken off the roads immediately.

Driver is polite and courteous. And to our surprise, he also waived off a part of the fare and charged us less than the actual fare.

Subject: Complaint yellow taxi SHC 708E

I was waiting in queue at Clementi Mall taxi stand and his taxi indicated Jurong East – I said I was going to Jalan Lempeng which is on the way to Jurong East. As far as I know if a taxi wants to pick up a passenger at a taxi stand and the passenger is not going in a different direction, the taxi driver cannot reject. While I know he wants to maximise his earning but I have also been standing in the queue just to take a taxi. On TOP of that when I asked him why he reject taking me when my destination is on the way he rudely said I am going Jurong East what why cannot ah? This is the reason why passengers prefer to take grab cars because grab cars are not so stuck up and more hungry for business. If I can I will never take your taxis again I rather call for Grab.

I would appreciate if you counsel this taxi driver who is giving a bad name to your company. No wonder many people said they rather book grab then be at mercy of these comfort taxis who like to choose their destination and don’t care if passengers have also been patiently queuing.

Comfort Taxi SHD3935S – ★ Nightmare

I picked up the taxi at Changi Airport, asked to bring me to my house at West Coast. The car drove on AYE, then suddenly slowed down and eventually stopped. The car was gradually slowing down however driver did not drove to the shoulder, so car stopped at mid of the lane. I pushed the car to the shoulder. I’d asked to arrange another taxi to pick me up, but nothing coming… The driver’s communication was quite poor, he just said “sorry” but I could not feel any sincere apologies from him. I did wait about one hour there, within taxi but no airconditioner.

More than one hour later, only wrecker was coming but no taxi came. Driver asked me to ride together on wrecker then he will bring me to home. Then eventually arrived at home. Usually it takes about 30 mins, but it took more than 90 mins. I complained to the driver that why you did not arrange the pick up taxi earlier, he excused as “it’s busy hour”. But it’s 1am midnight and there are several green lamp passed us on AYE. How come?

Once I boarded, driver asked if I knew how to go out of Sengkang. I said to use the TPE. He didn’t seem to know how to get to the TPE. And I asked if he knew his way. He was not too pleased when I asked him that. He said, yes. To be sure, I asked again, do you know your way? Do you know how to get to Tampines? He sat up, glared at me in the mirror, and said angrily, yes, I know! Before we got to the TPE. He asked me for the postal code of the destination. The entire ride was bumpy and jerky. Totally unpleasant experience!

CityCab SHB3536X – ★ Slow Driving to make high meter

On the high along Serangoon Viaduct, it shows at 70kmph but this cab was going at 40 to 50… He had purposely covered the speed meter so customers cant see his speed… Please dont think us as STUPID or FOREIGNERS!! GO AND TRICK THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVE IN SINGAPORE ! NOT THOSE WHO ARE BORN N BRED IN SINGAPORE! Also on my receipt it shows PEAK HOUR 25% – why on earth was I charged PEAK HOUR?
