GrabCab | Grab Street-Hail Taxi Singapore | Taxi Singapore

GrabCab is Grab’s street-hail taxi operator in Singapore, launched under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Street-hail Services Operator Licence (SSOL). Unlike GrabCar private-hire vehicles, GrabCab taxis are licensed taxis — they can be flagged down on the street, picked up at taxi stands, or booked through the Grab app, just like ComfortDelGro, Trans-Cab, Strides Premier, and Prime Taxi vehicles.
GrabCab taxis run in a distinctive green livery and use a mixed fleet including Hyundai Kona, BYD, and Toyota Prius vehicles, several in fully electric configuration.
Taxi company: GrabCab (a Grab street-hail taxi operator)

How GrabCab differs from GrabCar
GrabCar and JustGrab are private-hire vehicles (PHVs) — they cannot be flagged down and do not carry taxi livery. GrabCab vehicles are licensed taxis under LTA’s taxi regulations, meaning standard taxi fare rules, surcharges, and street-hail rights apply in addition to app booking.
Note: LTA’s taxi operators page traditionally lists four main taxi operators in Singapore (ComfortDelGro, Trans-Cab, Strides Premier, Prime Taxi). GrabCab is a newer street-hail operator awarded an SSOL, and is listed here separately to keep this page aligned with official LTA wording rather than an outdated fixed count.
